ART-Dijon

The first workshop of the INRA Atelier Reseaux Trophiques (ART) held at INRA-Dijon on the 26th and 27th September 2012

The goals of the Atelier were fairly straightforward. To:
Bring together experimental agro-ecologists, molecular biologists, modellers, network theoreticians and computer scientists to exchange views and expertise on the importance of networks of biological interactions in agriculture
Establish the questions being asked and data available across France on networks of species- interactions
Elaborate clear links between networks and agro-ecosystem performance (yield)
Establish a unique French contribution to ’Biological Network Research’ in agriculture, using the skills and data present within France, and strategic international collaborations
Support science in the SPE Department, the ‘key-action’ BIODIV in the cross-cutting theme SMaCH, the ‘enjeu’ Intensification écologique in the EA department, and the ‘chantier Agro-écologie’ of the DS Environnement
Establish a network of scientists across France and Internationally for future ANR calls, European COST actions, EU Joint Programming Initiatives (JPI FACCE http://www.faccejpi.com/), etc., as appropriate
A plan of action for future meetings on Networks
An ‘aspiration’ to publish some statement of intent
